Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility!
We prioritise safeguarding at Godre’rgraig Primary. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a friendly welcoming school, but all visitors will be asked to sign in and sign out as you leave.
If you are visiting the school, please note that the red pedestrian gates will be locked during school hours. They WILL be open at the beginning and end of the day for dropping off and collecting the children. If you need to visit us during the day please use the main Cwmtawe gates at the entrance to the car park.
The school has a video door bell system. Please ring the bell and explain who you are and the purpose of your visit.
Safeguarding forms
At the start of every new school year we kindly ask all parents to update our data collection sheets. These will include medical forms, 1 page profile information and updated contacts (including who is collecting your child along with the appropriate telephone numbers). These are necessary so we can update our registers and safeguarding information. Please can you complete the forms ASAP and return to school. If you have misplaced the forms, or need to update any information as the year develops please contact the school office for replacements.
There are also important Health Care plans for you to complete on your child. If you think your child has a medical condition that we are not aware of and you have not received a health care plan, please indicate this on the data collection sheets and then we will issue you with a Health Care Plan.
Hometime – If for any reason you or your additional contact cannot collect your child, any changes need to be reported to the school office. If the designated person is not available to collect your child and/or if a different person collects your child that the school has not been made aware of, your child will be kept in school for their safety.
